The new Star Wars plastic model kits for gluing and painting offer model fans from the age of 10 even more handicraft fun. The Twin Ion Engine fighter used by Imperial troops is one of the most widely used fighters and was manufactured in immense numbers. As with all TIE designs, the standardized cockpit is located in the center of the ship and is connected to the solar wings by cantilevers. Thanks to the transparent cockpit surfaces, the TIE offers a better all-round view than other fighters. The TIE is armed with permanently mounted dual laser cannons.
